Join us on a wild musical ride across America's highways and byways in a
high-energy production that celebrates the diversity of popular music from
various locales around the nation, from the Grand Ole Opry in Nashville to
the Chicago blues of the "Windy City," from the protest music & psychedelic
rock of Haight-Ashbury in San Francisco to the great Broadway houses of
New York, and from the "Streets of Laredo" on the Texas/Mexico border
to the streets of John Waters' Baltimore!

Don’t miss this song and dance extravaganza that
SELLS OUT in advance every year!

Join our high-energy ensemble of talented young singers for an
eclectic mix of choral works. We’ll put a smile on your face and
a song in your heart as we sing into spring.

We close our 30th season by going international with "world music" by
American composers as we celebrate our common humanity through
the diversity of our cultures.

The highlight of the concert will be the DC premiere of “Calling All Dawns”
by Grammy award-winning composer Christopher Tin. This 12-movement
work is inspired by a variety of sources, both sacred and secular:
Japanese haiku, Maori proverbs, Torah, Bhagavad Gita, and many more.

Higher Plain Music called it "pure and absolute musical hedonism!"

To open our 30th Season, we present a celebration of the diverse composers and musical traditions of Washington, DC,
both past and present. The featured work will be Duke Ellington’s rarely performed
“Sacred Concert,” with a 17-piece big band, a variety of swing and tap dancers
from Joy of Motion Dance Center and Capitol Movement, along with the
renowned jazz a cappella group Afro Blue from Howard University.

We will also be joined by the versatile a cappella group The Capital Hearings
and slam poetry artists from Beltway Poetry Slam Team as we highlight the
important contributions of the most exciting performing artists
in today’s Washington arts scene.
